I am convinced that Ted Dekker enjoys hearing those who read his book shouting "NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!".

[glow=white,9,900]Ok, well I'll tell you my list of favorite books. Some of them are younger reading levels, but those are ones that "inspired" me.
Ella Enchanted- I think FlightsRelease said it was by Gail Carson Levine. It was awesome, I've read it four times. Loved it. It's a Cinderella story with more of the magic and conflict. It makes the ending even more satisfying. Rating:10
Just Ella- Dk who it's by. Don't ever ever EVER read that one. SOmeone else wrote it to be like a sequel for Ella Enchanted. Basically Ella and the Prince get married. They never spend time together, she thinks he's boring, and in the end Ella escapes the castle and marries some other guy. THe prince falls in love with the step sisters and beinf fat becomes fashionable. Rating:2
The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles- Julie Andrews Edwards (mary Poppins!) Very good, it's got a lot to do with imagination. I loved it, I've read it 2 times and I am in the 3rd time, reading it to my bro and sis. Rating:10
Ballet Shoes- by ?- About three adopted girls; Pauline, Petrova, and Posy Fossil. Tells the story of how they fulfilled their dreams. THis is not written as a modern story, so it's not as lame as it sounds. Rating:10
Eragon-Christopher Paolini- About a boyu and his dragon. READ IT! Rating:10
The Space Trilogy- C.S. Lewis. Includes "Out of the Silent Planet," "Perelandra", and "That Hideous Strength." Any lewis book is a must read for Tolkien lovers. The stories are kind of odd though, lot's of medaphysical stuff and some things are allegorical. Very good though. You'd have to read all of it, because though it is odd, it makes more sense when you read the whole thing. Rating:10
The Screwtape Letters- C.S. Lewis- About a demon named Screwtape and his adventures trying to grab hold of people. Very interesting. Lot's of "food for thought." Rating:10
Louisa May Alcott- Anything by her is good. Nice homey tales. More suited for girls though. She wrote: Little Women, Good Wives, Little Men, Jo's Boys, Under the Lilacs, and many others.
Margarite Henry- SHe wrote Misty of Chincoteague, Brighty of the Grand Canyon, I think she wrote King of the Wind. Lots of horse stories.
Walter Farley- Wrote the Black Stallion, and the series that goes with it. Very good, I learned a TON about horses by reading his stuff. Any horse lover has GOT to read these.
Julie of the Wolves- Jean Craighead George. Lots of Nature in this one. THere are also two that follow after this one. About a girl who runs away and becomes part of a wolf pack. I learned many things about Inuit life, their language, and little trivia info. For example, the Inuits either speak Yupik or Inupaiq.
Jack London- Wrote White Fang, Call of the Wild, TO Build A Fire, The Sea Wolf, and others. He's a good writer, and an interesting person. Many of his works were taken from his expeditions mining in the Klondike, so a fairly good amout are nature-oriented.
I am working on writing my own list of book reviews as I read new books. This is only a small list. I'll write more when I have more time. [/glow]

I liked Ella Enchanted. It is for younger readers, but I love it anyway, except for the nearly identical ending to Cinderella. Have you seen the movie? It has little to do with the book, and makes Ella enchanted less like Cinderella.
Another series I have been told is good is the Work and the Glory, by something Lund. It has about nine books, but each book is quite long (the first is A Pillar of Light). I have started reading it, it tells about the Mormons and their beginnings. If you aren't LDS, you can still read it. The introduction tells that it isn't a book that is trying to convince you one way or another, it simply tells facts w/ a few changes and explains what life was like at that time period. As much as I have read, it was simply telling what life was like in the 1800s.

Ok, here's some of my favorite books: If I forgot some, I'll put them down in another post later.
Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King - Fantastic book. I cannot begin to describe how great this books was. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. It gets going fast and doesn't stop until it ends. The only bad thing about this book was the fact that it ended. (FYI: This is not horror like Stephen King's other books. This more like fantasy.) I advise everyone to read this book, because, believe me, you won't be disappointed.
Insomnia by Stephen King - Weirdest book I've ever read. Very good, but very weird. My mom made me read it, and it's very good, but it's just weird...
Harry Potter Series by JK Rowling - I love them. They're great. Can't wait to read the other ones that she's going to write.
Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien - Great books. I love them. (Of course I do. Would I here if I didn't?)
The Silmarillion by JRR Tolkien - Favorite Tolkien book. I love it.
I've read other Tolkien books, but those are my favorites.
Animorphs by KA Applegate - I like them. They're an easy read, but they're good.
Everworld by KA Applegate - I like these, too.
Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice (Book 1 of the Vampire Chronciles) - Great book. I loved it. Fantastic book.
The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice (Book 2 of the Vampire Chronicles) - This book is great. It's very good. I love it.
Blood and Gold by Anne Rice (Part of the Vampire Chronicles) - Awesome. Fantastic. This book is just magnificent. She drew me in, and I could feel what Marius, the vampire who the stories about, how he felt. This was great.

I thought of some other books I had to mention. Let's just say that for me the list goes ever on and on...
Crown Duel and Court Duel have already been mention. I just finished reading Court duel for the third time. I am extremely bad at short descriptions that don't give anything away so I'll just say that most people would ejoy these books (You might like the first on Aragorn, but i"m not so sure about the 2nd).
The Theif and THe Queen of Attolia- ANother series that Flight recommended. Awesome, there is a shocker in Attolia, I reccomend reading that one first.
And the Bride Wore White- I don't know who the author is but it's great book recommended to me by Elondra, it's not a novel, btw.
The Divine Dance by Shannon Kubaik- Another book Elondra recommended. In facti think all these next books were recommeded to me by her. A very good book for teenage girls. I don't know what category it would fall under.
Anything by Joshua Harris. I hear he has a new book coming out, but i have read I kissed Dating Goodbye and Boy Meets Girl. I think everyone could benefit from reading those two books, even if they do date, and ihad a good reason but it kind of flew out of my head.

And the Bride Wore White is by Dannah Gresh. Another good book by her is Secret Keeper. Wait for Me by Rebecca St. James is good as well as When God Writes Your Love Story by Eric and Lesly Ludy. Emotional Purity is good too. Return to Modesty is good, but it's a little more informative then I wanted at some parts. Anyway, I have a speech by Shannon Kubiak on cds if anyone down here wants to borrow it. They're really good!

I've just started a book called "Ragwitch" its a very, very good book so far. There are these things in it, I cant remember what they are called off the top of my head (May Dancers maybe...) anyways, they remind me of a quicker, somewhat darker version of an Ent I must say, I loooove vampires, but havent read any of the Vampire Lestat books, but if they are anything like the movie I dont think I'll be reading them anytime soon... ...
