I think I may have read part of it, but nothing comes to mind.
Have any of you seen/read The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe? I have read some it, it is funny.
"I talk to plants all the time. Then one day, they talked back, they said 'Trudy, shut up!'"

i'm not sure. i found a small scene of it on the internet and my old theatre teacher (long live the Neff, don't ask) was talking about the actor who had perfomed in onstage and how she (the teaher) wanted to get that movie. I'm sure it is on video, but not sure about the series or book part.

I still want to read the hitch-hikers guide, but it is one of many of my to-read-list. Are there more books than one of the guide?? I always thought that it was just one book...

Apparently it's miscalled the Hitchhiker's Triology. It has like five or six books in the series.

There are 4, but if you include the short story "Young Zhaphod Plays it Safe" but you can only get that in the ULTIMATE Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (all 4 books+the short story in one)

Well, it's a funny book series(at least the first one is.) and it's being made into a movie. Lot's of people like it and qoute it. It already is a movie. It was made in the late 60s or early 70s. This one is a remake.

Hitchhiker's Guide was a series, not a movie, as far as I know. Along with Hitchhiker's Guide (4 books) other sci-fi you should read is A Wrinkle In Time by Medeline Le'Engle, and Ender's Game, by Orson SCott Card, and The Space Trilogy (Out of the SIlent Planet, Perelandra, and That Hideous Strength) by C.S. Lewis. These books will stretch your imagination to the limit! It will make you crazier than you already are. If that's possible. lol! lol!
