Anyway, Miss_Anthropic is so misanthropic, so no wonder she doesn't like Tom Bombadil. I like him, he's happy, and he's wise and kind; evil has no power over him. I'd kind of like to be like that. I'd also rather hang around with someone who is overly cheerful than with someone who is overly depressing, kind of like Marvin...
I thought that was funny, in the book, he talked to a ship and it self-destructed. lol!
Oh, I read Roverandom, and it was great. THere are several references to LotR in it. References to something Hobbity (can't remember it off the top of my head), to Lothlorien, to the land of the Valar, and to Tom Bombadil. (And you thought I was gonna get off-topic.) Actually, the wizard in the story has a green hat with a blue feather, which is just like Tom has. Maybe indicating that Topm was like a wizard. You really should read it, and read the appedices, all the little "inside jokes" are mentioned there. (I got all the LotR ones before reading it though. ) [/glow]
