[glow=white,2,300]This thread includes LotR, Troy, King Arthur, Pirates of the Caribbean etc.
I saw the site for the new movie Kingdom of Heaven! It looks sooooo coool! And the music is awesome opossum. They have music clips on the site. The movie's all about the crusades. Orlando Bloom plays a crusader named Balian who is mourning the loss of his wife and children. Lliam Neeson is also in it, he plays Qui GOn Jin in Star Wars episode 1. The only problem with the movie is that it is rated R. Probably for violence and something to do with Orlando's love interest. Maybe I'll get to watch the PE version of it. (Marille knows what that means, lol!) [/glow]

I've also heard that it's supposed to be good. Can anyone tell me if "King Arthur" is any good?

I thought King Arthur was pretty good, but some say it is not. It tells the 'real' story of Arthur and co.' There is a lot of violence in it, but the scene of the lake is brilliant. Don't see this movie if you only want to see the romantic version of Arthur and Guinevere etc, 'cause you won't find it in this movie.

Well, that's a relief! I read Gilbert Morris' (forgive me if I have the name incorrect...I still have a cold and my brain is mysteriously...hazy...stop snickering, Arinae!) "A Squire's Tale" and I recall being very ticked off at how Guinevere dumps good King Arthur for slippery Lancelot. Sheesh. Iure, do you like watching movies in English, or do you prefer watching them in Dutch? (that's what you speak, right?) (just a raaaaaandom question...)

1. LOTR and POTC are NOT historical movies! 2. King Arthur is pretty good. It was worth th $2.00 I spent on it =P (I love bootlegged movies) 3. Guinevere ALWAYS cheats on Arthur, its just what happened. 4. Kingdom of Heaven looks really bad, lol.

Correction: I think you mean aggressively negotiate. ;D
Technically, these are historical movies. Actually, it really depends on your definition of a historical movie. Yours could be one of those really boring historical documents that you get from the library...

Do not speak of Evil Dutch Movies!!! I don't like Dutch movies and luckily we do not dub movies (unlike the germans). I don't think I could survive watching a nice English movie completely mutilated by being dubbed in Dutch..... So yeah, I like English better......

Ya know, Star Wars could be considered a historical movie. It was made a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...?
