I picked Rivendell too because of all the pretty trees with all the pretty falling leaves. And the pretty dresses. I like pretty elven dresses.

For anyone truly interested in finding out more about Elven communities here's a whole section of my forum devoted to that:

As far as hight determining elveness..... I don't think it matters. My wife is 5' 8" so she's sorta tall, but I'm only 5' 10 and that's average for a guy. But I do have some other elven attributes in the physical sense: long slender fingers, above average hearing, and 20/15 or 20/18 vision. Lisa has small hands, very slender fingers, and pointy ears.
But I know one Elven girl who's very small and weighs only about 96 pounds.... that should set the rest of you at ease!
(It's a matter of heart and spirit more than physical anyways)

Oooo, merci, Cradhraugir! That is heartening to know about the elvish tributes. I am actually smaller than 96 pounds...so physically I'm more like a Hobbit (I admit!)...but I love nature and poetry and all that good...elvish...stuff...so...yeah...
