A good idea for a neckline is a kind of square neckline, for mostly anyone. And a great thing to do with your costume is create a cover-up. A cape with a hood makes you very mysterious. And a mantle, kind of like an overcoat thing, is easy to make. A mantle is just a circle with a hole for your head, and two holes for your arms, no sleeves. I'll give you the name of a good pattern to use as soon as I find it. A sover-up is good for a change, you can sometimes make them reversable. If your dress is green youcan have one side of your mantle, cloak, cape and hood be a simple or everyday color that matches your dress. On the other side can be something beautiful and totally magnificent. So younow have a green dress, and two simply made cover-ups to change according to your mood, the event, and the temperature. Another good thing about cover-ups is that you can loan it to someone who doesn't have a costume, and they will look like they have. YOu can also useitto hide badly sewn dresses. YOu make a mistake on the waistlineand youhave somethingto coverit up. Brastraps shopat thetop? Then use a cloak to coveritover.
