What do you all consider spamming? Is posting links here ok? I got in trouble on a website for spamming and I didn't know what spamming was.

[glow=white,2,300]Posting links on this site is ok as long as it is LOTR related. Links have to do with costumes, creating LOTRish stuff, fantasy stuff is ok. I will rely on your judgement as to what is lotr related. But if you're not sure if a link is appropriate for this site, PM me or Marillë and ask us.
And also, please try to put links in their appropriate places. It's ok to put a costume link outside of the costume pages, but if you post it somewhere else, please try to have in in the correct place too. Do you get what I'm trying to say?
There is a place where you can post costuming links on the costume board, and there is a reccomended links page on the general board.
As far as other spamming goes, I am not sure what is considered spam. I have gotten yelled at for posting links and spamming too. Post your questions here and Marillë or I can get back to you on it. [/glow]

I have no problem with people talking about other sites, I have no problem with you having a link to your own site, and I have no problem with people mentionin their site in a post. It's when you do these things excessively that I have a problem. Naturally you are gonna want to talk about your site, however, not everyone may be interested so if you want to have a real discussion about your site or any other site, please have it through PMs. You can start a thread about your favorite site to see if you can get a group discussion going about it.
If Eowyn or I feel that a person is spamming we'll let you know. We may ask you to modify your post, or to delete it all together, but we will talk to you beforetaking action, against anything, not just spamming.

It is a food (it's really good if you grill it, at least the kind I've had)
A couple of posts up Lady Eowyn talks about what internet spam is. Basically spam is unwanted junk. You know like in your junk mail folder.

Spam is good the food kind but spaming on the internet. Not as good as the food but fun when you like to make othe rpeople mad. You just post alot of short posts in a row.

You know, LOTR freak that I am I have yet to see Monty and the hOly Grail. We tried to rent it from the library once, but the tape wouldn't work. I haven't seen the 10th Kingdom either.
