[glow=white,2,300]Ok, We have several music threads out there, so I just decided to create a music board.
As for Celtic music, I love it, and most other Irish, Scottish, and folk music out there.. I play penny whistle and I am learning the fiddle. Good Celtic/Irish/Scottish cd's out there: any thing by Mairë Brennan (aka Moya Brennan) She is Irish and her family has bands that play celtic music and sing Gaelic. Enya is also good, she is Moya's sister too. She has a CD, I think, called The Celts. Riverdance is also good. Go to Tinwhistler's site and he has lots of Irish sheet music. You can also just go to Walk-Mart and look under folk music, inspirational, or new age. (Even though Irish is not really new age.)

I love Irish music!!! I like CRAN a lot (especially 'Pikeman's' and 'Erin'.) I also like Flogging Molly (Drunken Lullabies!!!!) And anything by Brennan and Enya is great!

My British friend told me that one of her favorite bands is from Wales and they sing their songs in English and Welsh! She said they sound like Celtic Rock and that she'd let me borrow them. I can't remember their name. . .

One of the things I like about Celtic music is that you can sing along with the Gaelic and you have no idea what you are saying, but it sounds so cool! (I do know some words/sentences, but not enough...)

That is so wizard! I'd love to learn Gaelic. I'm doing a research paper on Ireland right now. And my grandma got me 4 Celtic CDs--they're instrumental, but lovely. In fact, I'm leaving now so I can go listen to them.
