[glow=silver,9,900] Now Legolas was a strange Elf, even before he was beset by these daily fears, for he was friends with a dwarf. As I am sure you know the name of this dwarf I will forgoe mentioning his name for now. If you do not know his name, well then, you shall in the next sentence or two. As I was saying, Legolas was friends with a dwarf, and at this particular time he was visiting this friend. Somehow the conversation came turned to Legolas' daily tormenting. "A few months ago I was kidnapped by a strange group of creatures. Many of them were Elves, but there was a hobbit among them. And a human in strange blue pants. And somehow they got the blonde girl from Rohan involved. And then there were these long multicolored monsters and strange jelly-like creatures with many arms. And black and white bears who attacked all who called them cute and cuddly." And he began to relate the whole awful story, and if you should like to know that tale, which is really too horrible to tell, you can go to "The Kidnapping of Legolas Greenleaf". Though I don't suggest it, for the tale is sure to leave you emotionally scarred. "And then the big shiny, um, thing went up into the sky and I finally asked them why they were trying to kidnap me and it turned out to be something about slapping the floor. And i honestly still don't understand what or why or how, but I'm always jumping at shadows and noises and anything else suspicious." "Well, my friend." The dwarf said, leaning back and taking a long draw on his pipe. "It seems to me that you should do something about these kidnappers. Play some sort of trick back on them." "What exdactly do you suggest?"...

(this one is for you Jaywyn! lol . . . hopefully you don't mind me stealing it!)
"Well, I think," Gimli, for that was the name of the dwarf, said and puffed on his pipe. "That you should make them eat five ding-dongs, sing 'The Star-Spangled Banner' from the edge of the sliff, and smoke my pipe." "Noooo!" Legolas remarked. "Why would I do something as horrible as that? That's just un-elflike!" "I don't know, it was just a suggestion."

...and it would have made his life a bit easier if he had intercepted those notes, but Legolas hadn't. On second note, maybe it wouldn't have. But we will never find out, because Legolas hadn't.
