[glow=silver,2,300]I thought that it might be good idea for us to have an updates thread so you can know what's going on. YOu don't have to check this thread everytime you get on, just when there's somthing new.

UPDATE:

I've noticed that a few of you have more that one screen name, I assume that it's because you didn't like something about your former account. I would appreciate it if new arrivals registered only once, if you need something changed MSG me and I'll see if I can. For those of you with extra accounts please let me know so that I can delete your unwanted sign in. There may be a rule about multiple accounts in the future.

Also, the site now has an off-topic board, so you can talk about more that LOTR (there's more to life that LOTR ). You know like the new movie Spider-Man, totally awesome movie by the way. So if you ever need a short break from LOTR, take your discussions there.

Hey ya'll! Alright I've heard that people are having a tough time getting ahold of their passwords, so I'm gonna tell you how to fix that prob. This message will be going out as a mass email to all of you, but if your on now or you've joined up after said email went out this might be helpful (Am I making sense?). If I can I'm gonna try to find a way to email your password to ya.

First of all, check you email. If you've signed up recently your password might be in your junkmail box. If you still can't locate it then this is what you need to do:
If your not logged in you should have a message to the tune of "Welcome. Please login or register" up at the top where it says The Elven Site: Forum, click Login and you should see a link next to the username and password box that says "Lost your password?" or something like that. Click on it and put in your username. Your password will be emailed to you. Write it down and login, then by going to your profile you can change the password to whatever you want.

Alright, I thought guests or members having trouble logging in should have a way to ask us questions. So I've given guests the ability to posts replies on the Questions and Comments board. As long as everyone follows the rules and does not abuse this privilege this option will remain open. If this works out well I may open other boards to guests, I don't know yet it depends upon how things turn out.

(As long as it is appropriate.) And you can talk about things related to LotR. Ideas, thoughts, ambitions. Doesn't have to be realistic. (Something like, "I wish that Aragorn and the Hobbits would come out of Middle-Earth and take me out of this crazy world." That's fine, doesn't have to make sense.)

I thought this would be good for all of our abstract random people. And guests can post too. So we won't always know who you are, no one will laugh. (hopefully, lol!)[/glow]
