let's see: I ordered Pride & Prejudice, Jane Eyre, How to live with a neurotic cat, Roald Dahl's Incredible Chocolate Box and How to make bead flowers and bouquets. Most of the books were 'older' books, like P&P or slightly less known books. Most of them are no longer available now, it's all 'out of stock'. Luckily I ordered the moment after I got the email!

P&P is supposed to be a good book. I've never read it though...

Today, on the train, I read a book. And finished it. All 435 pages. Yes, it was a very, very long trip

Now I started on book 2 of the story, The Lake House (#1 = When the Wind Blows, by James Patterson) It's about children with wings, they're the result of bioscientific meddling done by a bunch of creepy scientists. Really cool. But the weird part is, he wrote about the same children after these 2 books, but slightly different names and a completely different storyline. (Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment, and Maximum Ride: School's Out Forever)

I love Maximum Ride. There is another book in the series; Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports. You find out a LOT about Max in the third one. I think Patterson is working on the fourth one. I thought the only char with the same name between the two series was Max and the similarities ended with the fact they had the same name and were genetic experiments?
I started reading When the Wind Blows, but I got bored and really didn't like the storyline.

Well, in the Lake House, there is a blind boy called Icarus, in Maximum Ride he is called Iggy. I can't remember the rest, I'll post it when I've reread them all. When The Wind Blows is not as nice when you've already read Maximum Ride... I didn't know there was a third book (or even a fourth one coming up...) Now I have to buy more books... *evil grin* but if I get the job, I'll have loads of money so I'll be able to afford it

So does The Lake House: in the preface it says: So settle in, you believers, and even you Muggles. Let yourself fly!
I am now looking for an online bookstore that has book #3, but the first one I tried has a delivery time of 2-3 weeks.... Let's try another store!

Yeah, the third book came out like May 25 or something, lol.
In the third one, I think it's somewhere around ch 10ish, it says something like, "and we flew away like HP did from the Dursleys, except the Dursleys were everywhere and had unlimited funding."

hahahaha! That is cool! In a few minutes, I'll go back downstairs, drop my aching body on the couch and read Maximum Ride #1. If I don't fall asleep, that is.
