[glow=white,9,900]"We're all gonna die! Game over man!" (line from Aliens 2)
*Sob* It's over. It's really truly over this time. Last time is was like, "Oh, it's over. But the Extended edition is coming out in a few months." Now it's really over.
It was so sad, I was watching some of the extra stuff on the DVD and they were talking about the last shot they did. They would be like, "Oh, that's Viggo's last scene." Or, "That's Andy's last scene." In the very last scene that Peter did he didn't want to stop. He kept calling for them to redo it, and redo it. Dom said that they had it a long time ago, but it looked like Peter didn't want to say it was over. After he calls cut for the last time Peter goes and hugs Elijah. THey're both crying. Then later at their cast party Dom cries, then John Rhys-DAvies, and Viggo, and Elijah. ELijah and Orlando hug and Orly kisses Elwood on the head.
IT'S OVER!!!! If any of you are as traumatized as I am, post here. This is a cry fest guys, so if you don't like sad people crying about ridiculous things, then don't read this.
Oh, and Marillë, don't watch the second of the Extra discs, it's too depressing. You might have a heart attack. I almost cried.
Oh the sadness. *sob*sob*

*falls over laughing* I'm sorry Brad, but that would really suck if they made a whole new LOTR movie It would kill the whole thing. Besides what would it be Legolas and Gimli sitting in a boat talking, Sam going on about how great it is to be mayor of Hobbiton? (Sorry If I came across rude, I just post *and say* whatever comes into my mind ;D)

[glow=white,9,900]Well, I think Brad isn't quite as into this stuff as some of us are. And some people are so into this for reasons that they can't always explain.
Like me, I love this, this is my life. I grew up with armor and swords and costumes for about the first 6 or 7 years of my life. My dad was in the SCA. The society for creative anachronisms. They would make armor and go out and fight in it. We once went to an event in Savannah, Georgia. My best friend's dad was part of the group, so it was lots of fun. We have video tapes of the event, complete with music that some of the eventers wrote and sang.
My dad was an English teacher, and he passed his love of GOOD literature down to me. (notice I say GOOD.) And I love all the purity and chivalry of LotR, and my imagination is very vivid and so some of this is almost real to me. You know what I mean. It's the greatest movie ever! The greatest books ever! And when you see how they did things and how well the movies were made you think "wow, they put so much effort into this to make it real." They actually built the stuff!!!! I think I am going to get a job with an airline so I can get discount tickets and go to New Zealand. I am crazy like that.
Oh, and they could make the Hobbit, and the Silmarillion, and they could make THe Scouring of the Shire into a movie. So, you can write to peter jackson and see what he says.

Personally I like Marille's optimism. She doesn't beleive that it's ove until the fat lady sings. In other words as long as there are LOTR freaks like us out there who continue to relive the movies it will never truly be over. That optimism is the only thing keeping her alive, that and the fact that dying over LOTr would be kind of pathetic.
And I agree about the Cameron Duncan stuff, that was SOOOO sad. Marille and I watched it together and it almost had her crying.

Pathetic? Dying over LOTR would be pathetic?! Oh come on, it'd be much worse than that. I guess the reason the end of LOTR doesn't bother me is because it can't end. But Elfie already said that. That and the fact that I have my books to become absorbed into. I guess I 'm one of the glass-is-half-full kind of people when it comes to LOTR. Who agrees with me, about it not being over? And the saying is, "It's not over until Marille sings". When I sing the pain gets so intense that you just expire right where you are.
Almost, but not quite. However, if my mom had been there watching, we'd all be drowned. Don't ya'll who know her agree?

There are fewer and fewer of the obsessors like us though. At least, LOTR will ALWAYS be one of my favorite books. Won't stop reading till I quit finding new things in them. That is going to take tons of times.

[glow=silver,9,900] I like reading it because it's inspiring. ANytime I hqave writer's block all I have to do is read LOTR and before I'm done one page, there we go that's how i need to fix that. Of course Cheney Duvall and a lot of other obooks work that way too.
MRT- Randomness can be tiring. [/glow]
