[glow=white,9,900] I thought we ought to have a music board, I wasn't sure how Marillë would want it, so we can move these posts to that board when we make it. We might want to have a LotR music board and a non-LotR music board.
Well anyway, last night I went to the Josh Groban concert! It was awesome. Check out his website to hear a sample of his music. Oh, and by the way 4ever, people are saying that he's cooler than Orlando Bloom, and I agree. Mwaaa ha ha hhaaaaaaa! Ok, the concert was amazing. He's got the most georgeous voice I have ever heard. The concert was like having super surround sound, and being absorbed into the music. (Elondra would probably appreciate it.) For some people that may be a bad thing, but for myself, and anyone who is an intense musician, it is one of the most glorious things in the world. To me, that's about as close to God and Heaven as I'm going to get without dying. Beautiful harmonies, crescendoes, and the awesomeness and complexity of it. Is this really meant for mortal ears? Oh my gosh! And Josh was really funny. Laughing at the crowd that shouted "we love you!" and joking with them. He was just so friendly and it was really cool. He also had a violinist that was awesome, Chris B.... (somehtingruther) was a kick-butt trumpetist, and his pianist was Somebody Provost, who won a Liberace scholorship. I probably would have appreciated it! I like to be surrounded by the music, though I never play my music very loud at home.

omgsh I love music. I listen to it all the time. Has anyone ever heard of Hawk Nelson? He is a christian singer. Actually it's a band. But it is awsome. You should listen to it. Their cd is called letters to the president. look it up somethime. Or I could burn it for whoever wants to hear it.

I like allot of different music, by the way did you know that steven curtis chapman, casting crowns, and Chris Tomlin will be in concert together in march???? I'm so exited (the concert will be in florida)

Same here (I like lots of different music), but theres not really anything out now that I like....*shakes fist at top 40 list* But there is that new song out by the lead singer of Velvet Revolver-"Fallen". Its V. good! *laughs to self* I'm also very fond of Billy Idol. *a somewhat random thought-doesnt fall under the catagory of an off topic board?  * |

Since it's about anyone's fav music, what is everyone's? I like (not exactly in this order) ZOEgirl, Hawk Nelson, FM Static, Relient K, Nate Sallie, Switchfoot, Superchic[k], man the list just goes on and on . . Hello, and welcome. you are my new best friend! lol. I love Relient K so freaking much its not even funny!!!! My world like...revolves around them...lol!!!! Ever wanna talk about Relient K and their awesomeness, I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo there. ;D I've only gotten the chance to listen to Hawk Nelson a little bit, but I liked it. and Switchfoot is pretty good. for me generally it doesnt depend on the style of music, it depends on the band. I like everything from alternative rock to punk to soft rock to bluegrass... If the whole world was ending and all I had was music to hold on to, I'd be right where I need to be.  |

The same goes for me! I like everything! Christian that is. Except for songs that I can't understand what they're saying. I like rap, pop, I can take country, punk, etc. I have an extensive CD collection of all different kinds of music. That's why it's so hard to pick just one fav!

My favorite individual singers are CHarlotte Church, but she's smoking and being a general pain, so she's slowly falling off her pedestal. And I really like Josh Groban. I am also casually interested in Billy Gilman, Bing Crosby, Enya, Moire Brennan, Renee Fleming, and Sarah Brightman and Andrea Boccelli. Musicians: Lucia Micarelli, Chris Botti, Joshua Bell, Kenny G, Pete FOuntain, and Benny Goodman.
Bands: Mercy Me, Switchfoot (A guy I know knew them), Newsboys, Rebecca St. James, THird Day, Jars of Clay, Todd Agnew, Tree 63, that one guy who sounds like Todd Agnew, Sixpence none the richer, and a couple others I can't think of now.
I like mostly Classical, pop with a classical twist, Opera, Broadway, and I like most every other kind, but those are my favorites. I can NOT stand rap or hard rock.
