My schoolbooks are next to me, or at least half of them, the other books are lying on the floor, or downstairs, or under my desk... So I can check spelling etc. immediately

[glow=white,9,900]I'm fine with the spell checker, but that's probably because people very rarely have to check my spelling or grammar, occasionally punctuation. That probably comes from having a father who was an English teacher and encouraged reading at a young age. I was also homeschooled too. When I went to a private school in the second have (Marillë wins, have is supposed to be half! See the following post.) of 2nd grade and all of third, spelling was my favorite subject. I love reading...[/glow]

At my old school, there was one computer where you had a very hard time typing: the letters on the keyboard were all messed up.... Very funny if someone didn't know that and started typing without looking at the keyboard...  *evil grin* (And no, I had nothing to do with it, not that time!) |

you spelt a real word. i read for sounds as much as spelling. have is a real word. therefore, a spellchecker would not half caught it
