OMGosh, you do't know who Merlin is? I thought everyone knew who Merlin was. Have you ever seen the Swordi n the Stone? It's a disney movie.
Anyways, Merlin is this prophet, magician who helped King Arthur during his early reign. There was this enchanted sword that whoever owned it would end up killing the person they loved most. In the story two brothers, Sir Balin and Balan (I'm reading Le Morte de Arthur) end up killing each other, they didn't know they were fighting each other until after they were mortally wounded. Anyways, the reason that Sir Balin lost was because the blade of his sword was separated from the hilt. So what does Merlin do? He has a new hilt made for it so that someone else can use it. And he knows that Lancelot is going to kill Gawain.[/glow]
