[glow=white,9,900]I love LotR. My thought right now is that, what if we still lived with the same mentality that people in Medieval times, renaissance, and the times used in LotR did? People were chivalrous. They pleasured in simple things, in the beauty of their surroundings. They enjoyed each other's company, they liked children, gardening, reading, food, smoking, music etc.
I think that the world would be much better if people would be kind and chivalrous, and be content to do simple things. I think that God really likes it when we take pleasure in his creations, and we enjoy what he has given us. People now do not do kind things without expecting something in return. People in general don't enjoy good music anymore. (emphasis on GOOD.) They don't enjoy just sitting outside in the cooler weather and listening to the birds and reading a good book. Kids say they hate the rain, or they hate this, or they hate that. Or they say "I (beeep) love that! That (c)rap song by so-n-so was (beeeep) awesome!"
SO I ask you, what would the world be like if we lived and thought the same way the simple Hobbits did? Or the way the earth-loving, music loving Elves did? Or the way that Chivalrous men did? Not living exactly like they did, but thinking and loving the way they do. Not casually throwing hate around. SOme people hate for no reason at all. A friend of mine died sunday, and people who hated her were still saying bad things about her. Aragorn wouldn't, he would have respected the dead, no matter what bad things they had done. That would be beneath him. I can't stand people in general. They hate so much, and love so little.
Tell me, what do you think?[/glow]
