Well, it were just the books I ordered. Quite the coincidence: I ordered Jane Eyre, and yesterday evening the first part of the Jane Eyre miniseries was on TV! edit 11 July 2007: I just picked up my tickets for HP5. The prices are outrageous though: €10,50 for a 'normal' ticket, €9,- for students.... Hmpf...

Really mine was only $7 for adult tickets. (I think it's like $6.50 for kids/seniors). As of POTC 3, it was $6.50-6.75 for a normal ticket.

Yay! That would be fun! Just wondering: with the Harry Potter movies, is the British accent funny/annoying/difficult/hilarious? Because at school I always heard British, and when I had an American teacher, I had to get used to it. The first five minutes of every lesson I really had to focus, after that it got better.

It's not too bad in the movies, I do notice it and like how certain words don't sound right if you don't have the accent (i.e. idear, although you get that with US southern accent as well).
American accent is difficult to pin on a specific accent. You got your Brooklyn (New York) accent, your Southern, you got Texan accent, whatever you want to call my accent...

I know, back when I still had phonetics (3 years ago) I could hear where someone was from, even pinpointing it to a state. I got into an argument with my father about a singer we both knew. I don't remember who, but I said he was from Georgia or Alabama. My dad kept telling me he lived in New York. Turns out the guy grew up in Alabama, and had just moved to New York a few years ago

But you'll have Sunday to read, right? And if you're a fast reader ( and I sort of remember you saying/typing that somewhere on this site) you'll finish it in no time. (Whether that's a good thing, I'm still not sure)

I read all of HBP starting on Sat morning about 9 Am, I was finished by 6:30-7 PM. I even ate meals, went to the bathroom, and wasn't strictly reading.
The good thing about me being fastest, it means I get to read it first, because I'll be done before everyone else gets out of ch 1, lol. The only reason that matters is my family, hard as they try they love spoilers (I'm probably the worst for them). That and it took my brother two months to finish HBP and I don't think I could wait that long, lol.
