Well, let me know what you think of the books. Monday night I had a long discussion on the Elder Wand with a friend of mine. I had forgotten the exact circumstances when Dumbledore dies, and she still didn't understand what happened in the Deathly Hallows when Voldemort and Harry duel for the last time. But now I get the whole Elder Wand and the 'rights to use it' - part. (Took me long enough )

I understand the rights to use it, but I don't get how Draco was the owner....

Let's see, this is how I read it: When DD is on the Astronomy Tower, Draco uses 'Expelliarmus' on DD, and therefore 'owns' DD's wand, which is the Elder Wand. The fact that the wand fell down over the edge of the tower doesn't matter. The Wand still recognises Draco as the new 'keeper of the rights'. It is picked up by Snape, I believe, but since he didn't duel the current owner it doesn't work for him. (Not the fancy, extra-powerful stuff). Voldie gets his hands on the wand, but he didn't fight Draco --> no rights for mister V. Harry disarms Draco (Draco's own wand) and then somehow the Elder Wand now knows Harry is the new rightful owner. He snatches the wand from Voldemort and the Wand and the Rights to Use It are finally with one and the same person. Phew. I had to think hard to type this down again, got lost one or two times

I got the Harry disarming Draco, but I forgot Draco disarmed Dumby. That makes sense, lol.

What about the last chapter? Did you like that one? I'm still not sure. Of course I want to know what happens to them later in life, but then I want info on everyone! You only know that Ron and Hermione got married and have kids, but you still don't know about their jobs, Hermione's parents, etc etc etc. I know I want too much, it would probably fill another set of 7 books but I just can't get enough of the world of Hogwarts and wizards...

Hermione works in Magical Law Enforcement. Harry and Ron were both Aurors. Harry was head of department.
JK said she meant to leave the epilogue vauge.

Then the jobs you mentioned are just guesses? Or did you read it somewhere? Hermione's job sounds perfect for her!

Yeah. I'm not quite to the point where I want to know "Harry's great great great grandparents middle names." But to know their first names would be nice, lol.

As much as I love Potter, I don't think that I want another book. She tied everything up so nicely. I think any other books in the series would just be corny sequals (like most of the Disney sequals are now). I don't think a sequal for the sake of sequals is a good idea.

'Ear 'ear! (as to quote the lovely Weasly twins ) That's probably why those Disney sequels never quite make it to NL, thery'e not even hugely successful in the USA...
